My Warrior Sisters

I am constantly amazed at the goodness and work of God in my life and those around me. How he orchestrates the coming together of people who need each other so much, but didn't realize that is what they needed. People who are broken, hurting, not knowing where to turn because life is just so stinkin' tough. All of them searching to find sense in this upside down world, sense in the messy circumstances they currently are in, sense in the pain and heartache they are enduring. Wondering where is God, why is this happening, how could He allow all this into my life.

These are the women currently in my life. They are walking a difficult road along the side of me. Yes, a few of them are bearing the heartache of grief, but yet others are facing circumstances to them that are just as painful. This blog today is for you, my warrior sister. To cheer you on. To help pull you from the pit of this world when you think no one around you cares. I do. I see you, I hear you, I feel your pain. But I know someone else who sees you, and cares more than I ever could, and that someone is Jesus. The Jesus who cried when he saw those who loved Lazarus weeping. The Jesus who fed 5,000 with five loaves and two fishes because he knew the crowd was hungry. The same Jesus who healed the two blind men who called out to him for mercy. He cares my sister. He is there, walking along the side of you even if you can't feel him. You just have to trust. Probably the hardest thing in this world for any of us to do! Trust His purpose in your life, trust that He is working ALL things together for your good.

So, keep pressing on. Put your focus on Jesus. He really is all that matters. This life is going to pass (yes, reality check for all of us). It is all about what Jesus will say when you stand before Him one day. Close your eyes, envision Jesus looking at you and saying "Well done thou good and faithful servant". Keep that vision and keep pressing on my warrior sister!

Biblical References:

John 11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 33When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, 34and said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. 35Jesus wept.

Mark 6:35 35And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: 36send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. 37He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? 38He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. 39And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. 40And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. 41And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. 42And they did all eat, and were filled. 43And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. 44And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Matthew 20:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 31And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 32And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?33They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose
